1. Homefront
Currently, Homefront is ranked #1 in Netflix's "Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today." Homefront is directed by Gary Fleder. Famous cast members include: James Franco, Jason Statham, and Kate Bosworth. Homefront is an action thriller. This film is about a recently widowed man and his daughter move to a new town for a fresh start. Maddy, the daughter, encounters bullies at her new school and gets in a fight with one. The bully's mother, Cassie, calls her drug dealer to go after Phil and Maddy. This leads to a big feud with Maddy's life being put in danger. Phil must go after an entire cartel to get his daughter back.
If you are into action thrillers this is definitely a movie for you! Homefront was a really good movie! I highly recommend you take time and watch this movie. I rate this movie as a definite "watch."
2. The White Tiger
As of now, The White Tiger, is sitting at #2 under Netflix's "Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today." The White Tiger was directed by Ramin Bahrani. Starring cast members include: Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Vijay Maurya. The White Tiger is a crime drama. A poor boy, filled with ambition, works for a rich Indian family driving their cars. Growing up very poor, he always worked hard and had big dreams to escape poverty. When he grows up he becomes and entrepreneur. Along with that, he does some illegal activities to get money and rise to the top.
If you like crime action movies, I would recommend this movie for you. I would watch this with older and mature audiences as it is rated R due to language, violence, and sexual content. This movie is really good and is going down as a "watch."
3. Cut Throat City
Right now, Cut Throat City, is at #3 in Netflix's "Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today." Cut Throat City was directed by RZA. Famous cast members include: T.I., Shameik Moore, and Denzel Whitaker. Cut Throat City is a crime drama. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, New Orleans is devastated and poverty is rising. To escape poverty, a group is offered a life changing job to rob a casino. During the heist, security shows up and a shoot out begins. Not going to spoil a lot but someone dies and they barely make it out alive with the cash. But afterwords, trouble arrises and they learn they were set up!
This movie is fantastic! I recommend this movie to anyone who likes action movies or crime movies. The plot is so good with twists and turns throughout. I wouldn't recommend watching this with younger audiences due to violence, nudity, language, drug content and sexual material. This movie is a definite "watch."
