1. The Impossible
Currently, The Impossible is ranked at #1 in Netflix's "Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today" The Impossible is directed by J.A. Boyona. Famous cast members include: Tom Holland, Naomi Watts, and Ewan McGregor. The Impossible is an emotional drama, or what I like to call a "crier movie" In 2004, a large tsunami hit Southeast Asia. This film documents a married couple and their two boys distressed experiences surviving this tsunami. It incorporates the dramatic event of the tsunami and their struggles to survive it. The parts when the tsunami is occurring will definitely leave your nails chewed down to the nubs. This film also includes aspects following the tsunami and the aftermath resulting from the tsunami.
If you are into movies that are a mix of action and emotional dramas, this is your movie! The Impossible was an amazing movie. This is movie is currently one of my all-time favorites! I highly recommend you watch The Impossible. This movie is a definite "watch."
2. Mile 22
As of now, Mile 22 is ranked #2 under Netflix's "Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today" Mile 22 is directed by Peter Berg. Famous cast members include: Mark Wahlberg, Ronda Rousey, and Lauren Cohan. Mile 22 is an intense action movie. James Silva (Mark Wahlberg) is a CIA operative who is leading his militia crew to an intense and dangerous mission. The CIA team must transport a foreign intelligence asset to an airfield for extraction from the American Embassy in Southeast Asia. The mission turns dangerous when all of Southeast Asia's military, police, and gang members do everything they can to take back the foreign intelligence asset.
This movie kept me on the edge of my seat the whole 1 hour and 40 minutes. New complications arose numerous times throughout, leaving you to wonder what was going to happen next. It is a perfect movie if you are into intense action movies. This movie is going under the "watch" category!
3. Dr. Seuss' The Grinch
The Grinch is currently sitting at #3 on Netflix's "Top 10 Movies in the U.S. Today" Dr. Seuss' The Grinch was directed by Scott Mosier and Yarrow Cheney. Famous cast members include: Pharrell Williams and Kenan Thompson. Dr. Seuss; The Grinch is a family classic! The Grinch is a miserable grump who despises happiness and holidays, especially Christmas. The Grinch gets the terrible idea to sabotage Christmas in the festive town of Whoville. Whoville is filled with cheerful residents, The Whos, who love Christmas. When The Grinch meets a little Who girl named Cindy Lou Who, his whole life perspective changes. Cindy Lou Who softens The Grinch's heart and makes him realize that there is more to life that being the town's grumpy outcast.
This is the perfect movie to watch almost anytime and in any state of mind. You can never go wrong with a classic movie, let alone a Dr. Seuss movie. This movie is one of my all time favorite movies. I definitely reccommed you take time to watch this move. This movie is a must "watch."
